Brown 500ml bottle, poured into a Westmalle chalice (twice).
The beer looked good, huge, thick biege coloured head, rich and creamy. Very dark body, a true black colour.
Strong coffee and chocolate smells, both heavily roasted/burnt.
The coffee aroma turned into a bitter coffee bean taste, drying the mouth as I drank it down. It was certainly interesting and different, sadly its mouthfeel didn't do it for me. No richness or creamy feel apart from the head, what a pity, almost watery for such a strong tasting and smelling stout.
Must remember this is a very cheap beer, very good value, even if it wasn't my 'cup of tea'.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
