2nd Beer of a 'Random beer tasting evening' (20th April 2010). Poured into a batemans pint sleeve.
500ml Brown bottle, no BB date to be found.
The body of the beer was a clear deep ruby red, the head a crown of off-white foam.
A weak malty aroma came from the beer, but nothing to write home about.
The taste however was far from weak, roasted/toasted malts played with an almost coffee flavour, most unexpected.
This brewery seems to produce good quality beers at very keen prices, I'll carry on buying them whenever I see them!
