This is one of the early releases from Two Brothers when they were first starting out. I didn't review it at the time, but found my notes on it, so decided to enter it now. 22oz bomber bottle for $5.99. Bought it at Gino's Liquors in Elgin, IL
The beer poured a cloudy apricot color and only made a thin white rim for a head. There was also not much lacing.
Huge orange/grapefruit nose
You better like hops before trying this one as Hop Juice is hops on steroids! It tastes like biting into an orange peel, but not the orange itself. Then a ton of grapefruit flavored hops are added to that. There is a decent amount of sweet malt in here so it's drinkable, and then it's topped off with a wood barrel taste.
Medium bodied with high carbonation.
Citrus hops rule and the nearly 10% alcohol is pretty well hidden. I wish I could find the IBU score on this just to see what its true bitterness is.
