Interesting that this is listed as a fruit lambic, because it really tastes more like an oud bruin. The dark cherry notes are constant through the taste, but not in an overly tart or sweet way. The malts, booze, and yeast are the other stars. Overall I kept waiting for this beer to capture my attention, but it never really did. If anything the dry, boozy sawdust finish was hard to fight through. Well constructed in the body, but flavor profile needs some beefing up. Either way, a meh lambic

I enjoyed this beer at Two Brothers' Craftsman restaurant in Naperville, IL. It pours a bit cloudy with deep reddish-brown color and a dark tan head that quickly fades away. The smell is spot-on for a barrel-aged sour, with a little wood. The taste is complex with a just the right amount of dark sour cherry. The mouth feel has a medium body and just a little carbonation. Overall, an outstanding beer.
