Was at the 2Bros Tap Room this afternoon and they tapped a new cask conditioned coffee infused Dumaine Dupage and it was decent. The beer was a cloudy amber with this frothy head that left a decent lace. The scent was a malty mix of coffee and caramel. The taste was a smooth beer that had a good balance of malt and bitter hops with a coffee base. The mouthfeel was medium body with essentially no carbonation. Overall it was worth the taste and I was glad to have a chance to experience it.

Had on-tap at Poor Phil's in Oak Park.
A - Pours a burnt orange brown, cloudy to the point of opaque, with yellow on the edges. Small head that receded to a thing cap with some fat chunk lacing on the sides throughout the drink.
S - Smells like the regular Domaine DuPage with a bitter light coffe back and a little sour. Fruity, maybe apples and pears.
T - A bit of fruit that tastes like it has been unsweetened. A bitter, shallow coffee taste that turns sour the more you drink it. Honestly, this isn't very good at all.
M - Medium bodied and medium carbonation.
D - Not real drinkable, because it tastes bad. I'm assuming this was an experiment, they took the original beer and cold filtered it through coffee grounds for the Craft Brewers Conference. Interesting idea, but didn't work out. Tastes like someone let their coffee sit out and get cold. Won't drink this again.
