Two Brothers has come out with a four part series of single hopped Heavy Handed. The #1 is brewed with Centinnial, #2 with Columbus, #3 with Casscade from "one field", and #4 from "another field" as described by the staff at the Roundhouse. The #2 with Columbus hops was good, but not nearly as good as #3 & #4 The beer poured a nice rich clear deep copper with thick white head that laced. The smell contains more floral and malt scents...not much pine or citrus that I could smell. The taste is heavy leaning towards floral and pot purrie...there is a slight bitterness that stays on the tongue....certainly a malt present, but the beer isnt as balanced as the Casscade versions. The mouthfeel is ok....after the drink there is a touch of acidic taste. The mouthfeel was ok....a bit to flowery for me. I look forward to trying a bottle of #1. Great job!
