Two Brothers has come out with a four part series of single hopped Heavy Handed; a la Sammy A Latitude Deconstructed. The #1 is brewed with Centennial, #2 with Columbus, #3 with Casscade from "one field", and #4 from "another field" as described by the staff at the Roundhouse. The #1 was quite good! The beer poured a nice rich clear deep copper with froathy thick white/off-white head that laced well. The nose carried tones of fresh hop with slight pine and spice. The taste is a nice balance of malt and hop that is realy good. The Centennial hop helps the beer be slightly....not over the top....bitter with fresh pine and spice. The mouthfeel was great....very good balance of malt and hop with decent ABV charge made for a good beer. I think my favorite was the Cassade hop #4....not sure if that was because I had that one on tap....the others were bottled...nevertheless all were good!
