On cask at Castle, Holborn, London.
Ruddy orange and snowy film that holds.
Deep nose with toffee and wood smoke and a touch of cocoa.
Whiskey and coffee malts with a turpentine hit, then wood pulp hops with some dried orange rind. Waxy end like unripe melon and sticky linger.
Medium, chewy, and clingy.
The darker side of bitter. Good for all seasons. Not bad but too slick and woody – not to my taste. And where did the Cascade go?
