Our visit here was to try their beers, although we ended up having a German pretzel as a 'go with.' The brewery is located along the main street in the same place as the former Tapistry Brewing. (Across the street from Transient Artisan Ales.). Street parking is all that I saw. The interior is a large open space with no finished ceiling that causes an industrial look. A small bar with seating is at the back of the room. There are plenty of tables, and some upholstered seating at the front window. The brewing equipment can be seen through a window. The vibe is okay. Service is at the bar, and the bartender was very helpful. A second large open room is at the rear of the building, and it has a fireplace along with a large projection TV.
We ordered a sampler flight of 5 beers to try to get an overall feel for all 17 (20 taps) that were on tap. Each was brewed well to style, although the oak-aged stout was a bit heavy on the oak. The 'e' Pale Ale was the one that stood out (it probably could be labeled as an IPA). The tap list is very diverse. Ciders and seltzers are also served. Some cans are available for carry-out.
The food menu looks like it is best described as pub grub, but we didn't have anything other than the German pretzel. It was big and came with three dipping sauces, all pretty standard, but good. This place caries “Distillery' as part of their name, although the spirits are made elsewhere, and cocktails and wine are available. This is a worthy place to visit.
