Cask pour from the Roebuck in Mobberly. Beartown is a local Cheshire brewery, and seemed like a good choice for my first day back (especially seeing the alcohol content doesn't mess with you too much when you have jetlag).

Poured a radiant gold with a finger of white head. Decent retention and lace. Strong grainy malt aroma, mixed in with some herbal/grassy hopping. Nothing too exciting here, but a nicely balanced session beer nonetheless. Light, grainy malt body, fused with Goldings-esque hops. Well-paired. Light bodied and a bit watery, but a decent thirst quencher.

Straightforward, as a lot of bitters are, but very good for sessioning. Not something I'd ever hunt down in bottles, but its a good choice for a traditional English beer down at the pub.
