Pint from the cask at Doctor Duncan’s in Liverpool. Gorgeous beer, aromas of roasted malt, tobacco, rich earth. Flavors are similar but with a lot more chocolate. Such an under-appreciated style. Massive flavor in such an approachable dark beer. Slightly sour/funky, with a proper malt bill and the perfect touch of hops in the finish. Bravo, an impressive beer. Will be ready to try more styles from this brewery.
