Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, light to medium orange-gold with a two finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, orange, mild mixed stone fruit and light catty dankness. Flavor is mildly caramel malt, citrus, dank and pine hops, lemon, grapefruit, catty dankness and a little pine. Good citrus rind and pine bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Surprised to see a hazy IPA with a West Coast name, but it's from New York, so I'll give them a pass, particularly because it really does have some West Coast citrus and pine in the profile and delivers some decent bitterness, although not quite at the level I'd expect from the style out this way. The hop bill is quite nice, mostly citrus and pine but with light fruit notes to keep things interesting. Another hazy that could win me over to hazy IPAs. I'd have this again if I saw it. Nice to be rewarded with a bitter IPA after the haze scare. The can illustration of an otherwise fuzzy mammal, but with fangs, sending out laser beams while carrying a hop bud is a winner.
