Depending on whether you're recognizing chaos or creating it, at least there’s a beer for the occasion. Teaming up with Tipico coffee roasters and Mortalis brewers, a hazelnut and vanilla flavored stout seem about right while watching it all go down.
Dark brown and carrying a heavy visual weight, Chaos By Design greets the nose with caramelized sweet scents decorated with candied nuts, toast, cola, coffee and soothing spice. Sweeter to taste, the flavors of caramel, coffee and sorghum set a malty tone with cola-like flavors persisting early and often.
As the flavors roll along the middle palate, the malts develop into a toasty, roasty coffee accepted character while a toasted nuttiness bringing out woodsy and light smoky flavor. Sweet cola flavors bring out the alcohol spice and allow the session to steer into a broad and woodsy bitterness soothed by vanilla softness.
Full bodied, weakening and eventually trailing into a toasty and bitter cola flavor, the beer shows almost as much chaos as does its label art.
