This is another superb beer from the Ramsgate brewery in Kent, whose star is rapidly rising in the UK beer world. Brewed with East Kent Goldings hops sourced locally, as most of the ingredients used by the Ramsgate brewery are.
Appearance: A cloudy pale honey colour with a touch of sediment. Pours with a massive head, which has decent retention. Mild carbonation.
Aroma: A touch malty on the nose, with a sweet graininess. There is the predictable hoppiness you would expect from the style, along with a light scent of lemon.
Taste: There is a maltiness up front in the flavours as well, delivering a syrupy honey taste, which is gradually chased away by the growing lemony bitterness provided by the hops.
Mouthfeel: The feel is quite lively on the palete, slightly sticky, with a warming alcohol in the finish.
Drinkabiility: For a beer with the strength that India has, it is very drinkable, and the alcohol isn't immediately noticeable. Quite sweet for the style but it works well, and has a moreish quality.
