pours light amber with a slight head and a bit of lacing
smell is just some hints of dry hops and malts - really nothing in there that is very special though.
taste is just quite boring - it just tastes like beer, plain and simple, the hops lack any floral/citrus character, they are just dry and bitter and the malts dont have much soft cocoa, or ripe fruit or nuttiness either - normally this isnt much of an issue, but this doesnt even seem very well balanced - not terrible, but it just doesnt seem like a very well thought out or accomplished brew - not a bad brewery though, marthas mild kicks some major arse.

Sampled at FAB Fest, Miami Beach, last weekend (notes taken).
Pale to mid-brown, with a slight aroma of hops. This standard bitter had moderate hop and malt notes at first; quite average and nothing outstanding there. The aftertaste was more pronounced, there was a sharper bitterness that arrived on the back of the tongue - slightly metallic even.
Not bad but not great. Note this cask had travelled 4000 miles from Devon to Florida, so may have been better before its jaunt.
