Char/Dark Cocoa/Brine

A study in body/mouthfeel, Bogues Bay is our collaborative oyster stout with Mother Shuckers oyster farm (Assawoman, VA). Monica and her team have cultivated unique and alluring seaside oysters. Clean with a brininess that doesn’t end. A kiss from the mid-Atlantic in autumn. We used these in both the mash and boil of Bogues Bay. The result is a low abv stout with a body that is equally as soft as it is full. A bonfire on the beach, with spray from the breakers wafting through the air. We’re pretty happy with this one. It’s a beer that evokes time + place, which is what we’re all about.

No body. Too much taste of the sea. Would not have thought this was a stout if I hadn't seen the can. Weak. Would not buy again.
