5.0% on my brown 500ml bottle and it isn't bottle conditioned either, so this may well be a different beer to that already reviewed (in 2004).
Poured into a pint sleeved glass.
Looks good, a clear but dark ruby body with a biege come ligth brown head.
Heavy chocolate malts dominate the aroma, the label claims cloves are used, but I couldn't find them in the nose or the taste.
Not sure where the 'Rich' bit of the beers name comes into play, but this is a pleasant tasting porter without pushing any bounderies to the extreme.
The malty flavours do stay in the mouth, but this is far from 'rich', it isn't poor, more 'middle class' in the mouthfeel stakes.
Bottled porters can be a little bland IMHO, this isn't bland, but there is something missing to make it a great beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
