Another beer in the Royal Air Force (Battle of Britain) collection, this one coming like all the rest in a 500ml brown bottle. Best before the end of Jan 2012 the bottle conditioned beer was poured carefully into an 'Abbot Ale' glass tankard in Oct 2011.
Very pale, straw yellow with no head after the initial pour, really thin looking actually.
The beer gives off a mild floral hop aroma with some sweetness within. That sweetness carries on into the taste, becoming more malt like in flavour.
Although looking thin and weak this beer has hidden talents and drinks a lot better than my eyes told me it would. It came out in cask form too, would loved to have tried it.
