Visited on the way from Gatwick to our friends house in Ramsgate. An absolutely charming location situated directly on the quaint green in the village of West Peckham.
We stopped here lunch and were not disappointed. I had the pan fried calves liver & bacon with crushed sage potatoes, steamed broccoli & red wine jus and it was wonderful!
They had eight beers on all of which were delivered by hand pull. I found them all to be solid with none being truly great but the porter was my favorite.
Once it was discovered we were visiting Yanks we were treated quite nicely. Nothing outstanding though as it was quite busy during the lunch rush.
All in all a very pleasant and worthwhile stop if you are in the area. Good food, good beer and a charming location. You could hardly ask for more in the "Garden of England" that is the Kent countryside!
