this is the third or fourth brewery to be in this space since ive been in idaho, hope it works out for them, they seem off to a great start! the location works, i mean its right in the thick of all the beer and wine stuff i garden city, plenty of traffic i would think for them. real basic spot as far as vibe, some tables strewn about the modest taproom space, a long bar in the back in front of the equipment, a modest setup but its clean and inviting without any frills. they had eight beers on tap, most of them were technically quite good, but they lacked a lot of personality or distinction, no weird ingredients, ambitious recipes, or signature creations, but they have the basics pretty well down, including a solid west coast and hazy ipa, a real good european dark lager, and a german pils thats close to excellent, i think they have some knowhow in the brewery, i just want to see a little more exciting beer list next time. less impressive was the blonde, but i dont hold it against them. some televisions in here for sports if thats your thing, but a relaxed atmosphere for sure. overall i liked the beer, but the whole thing felt a little generic, like old school in a way that was missing some personality, assuming opening a brewery was someones passion project, i didnt quite feel that passion in the place, but the liquid hit well enough. curious to see how they grow up a little bit, ill check back soon. for now the beer is ahead of the curve, the space is fine, and the guy pouring beer was friendly, good with names, and cool to chat with. definitely a place to go support locally, especially with the recent closings around town, good to see them busy and doing well when we were in!

Boise's newest brewery, located in a spot that's seen 3 other breweries come and go. Parking can be an issue. Small bar, high tables and a makeshift patio in the parking lot. Sandwich shop next door will deliver! Vibe feels the same as the others, but I'm here ahead of the Friday night customers. Beers are overall decent, the dark lager being my favorite so far. Good service too, as they are still learning the ropes.
