Leaning towards amber with a little bit of haze. Our flight pour had no head, but I went with a half pour and there is a gossamer white sheet of bubbles across the surface and nice lacing.

The nose is on the light side and fairly neutral. There might be a slight hint of diacetyl, but it’s light enough I’m not sure. The taste is more in line with what I expect in a pale ale. It is fairly balanced up front, with a toasted malt opening and a firm bitterness in back. The hops are slightly woody with a little bit of spice.

The bitterness builds up over sips in a way that could push this into IPA territory, and the toasted malt makes me think a little of an ESB, but overall, a nice enough beer.
