Strap in. Jump school is here. No safety net, just flavor
Jump School is a 6.4% ABV New Zealand West Coast IPA brewed with Motueka and Nelson Savin. Notes of lime, kiwi, and sauvignon blanc with crisp bitterness to highlight the bright, punchy flavors of the New Zealand hops. Think of it as an amped-up version of our third beer, Flight School.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.48. Canned 5 . 29 . 25, so it's just over 3 months old.
Look: Light orange color, nice clarity. There was two fingers of a tan-colored head that dissipated to a thin layer.
Smell: I'm getting a lot of orange on the nose, which is not what I expect from a Moutueka and Nelson Sauvin-hopped beer. I'm also getting some grapefruit zest and lime notes. Green bell pepper notes on the finish after swirling the glass.
Taste: It's pretty tasty - very clean and somewhat crisp. The finish is dry and there is a nice amount of bitterness. I still feel like this is not what I was expecting in terms of the flavor profile with a beer that is advertised as "Brewed with Motueka & Nelson Sauvin." I was expecting something that had lots of lime and gooseberry/white grape/passion fruit notes. Instead, this has a Citra-esque character with tons of bitter orange rind and grapefruit pith. This beer is very much West Coast style. Besides the fact that I'm not getting so much Motueka or Nelson Sauvin here, I find the flavor to be a bit boring. It's by no means bad, in fact it is made well. It's just not very exciting and it tastes basically like a Citra or Citra/Mosaic WCIPA. A bit of Flintstones vitamins aftertaste.
Feel: Medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Slightly chalky mouthfeel.
Overall: This is my first Space Cadet Brewery beer. I've seen a lot of hype for this brewery on social media. It does seem like it has decent potential and I would be curious to try some of their other beers.
