Listed as a seaonal ale brought back from a recent polling of customers. Ale was served in a pint glass with a dark gold color and an ample one and a half inch head. Lacing was evident down the glass. Aroma was of piney hops and some biscuity malty overtones. Upon tasting a burst of fresh hops exploded in the mouth followed by some balancing malt flavors. Aftertaste was pleasantly bitter. This was full bodied yet drinkable.
This is an outstanding IPA, certainly the most assertive and interesting ale I have had from Blackstone. This ale should be added as a year round offering rather than a seasonal.

The cask conditioned IPA had such a rocky head that it arrived at the table a few minutes after pouring with a one finger head and still had some left on the last swallow.
This beer has a huge American hop aroma along with a good malt background. The beer is light amber gold and crystal clear. The flavor is similar to their standard IPA, but with a slight sweet malt with very good bitterness to balance. The finish begins sweet then heads toward dry with good bitterness from the hops which lasts.
I thought I was getting the Cask Conditioned IPA on the first round, but it turned out it was the regular IPA. The Cask Conditioned is definitely a beer to seek out.
