Swirled together with some of the finest hops that Wyoming can find, who knew that swamp water could taste so good.
Unpleasant in its name, but bright to the senses, Swamp Water Extra Hoppy IPA brings a radiant scent of citrus fruit and herb to the nose, all hovering over a classically amber ale and a frothy eggshell cap. Sweeter flavors of caramel, honey and toasted grain give a granola-like impression to the early palate.
As the flavors roll along, the rise of orange and grapefruit add a sharper peel and pith character with the malty support adding sweetness and act to give the rounded hop flavors a more plump and ripe fruit character. Trending bitter, the citrus subsides and the herbal taste of fresh grass clippings, tea leaf, pine needle and hemp give the finish a leafy and stemmy character.
Medium bodied and drying to a classic American IPA taste and texture giving a nostalgic throw-back attitude for hop heads of thirty years ago.

Slightly cloudy amber in color with thick white head. As the head fades the lacing is clasped against the glass. Nose is dank, earthy and piney. Taste is slightly herbal then piney. Nice bitterness across the palate.
