16oz draft, marketed as an unfiltered German pils
Pours a big two finger white head into a mug. Retention is nice. Lacing is very good. Body is a cloudy bronze. Looks great.
Nose has bread, biscuit, lemon, maybe a little perfume and even some honey. Smells good but absolutely nothing like a German Pilsner, and fuller than any kellerbier I’ve had.
Flavor is very bready, a touch of honey, maybe even a bit of diacetyl, tastes nice. Nothing like a German pils, could maybe pass as a kellerbier?
Medium carbonation. Medium bodied. Brief sweetness. Bitterness is relatively low. Mouthfeel is great.
Drinkability is solid.
Overall an enjoyable beer. Definitely aligns with what I’ve come to expect from Italian beers with its malt profile, not very German and def not the Americanized Italian.
