Pours a clear dark copper color with a one finger head which gives way to minimal lacing. The aroma has a nice sweet malt character with a little nutty toastiness to it. The taste was of a sweet malt backbone with a hint of nuttiness to it, there is also that steam beer bite to it much like anchor steam. The mouthfeel was moderately carbonated with a nice body. The drinkability is good, its an easy drink, nothing to dislike.

Eye Candy: Translucent dark copper. Dark edges. Thin head, no lacing or retention. Slightly thin looking.
The Nose Knows: Sweet malts with an underlying toasted grain.
Tongueland: Rich malts, honey sweet, roasted nut finish.
Bender: All the bartender could tell me is that it was made using granite rocks. What kind of grain bill is that?
