Took the nice little drive to Ellicottville today to drink some good beer, this poured a nice rich amver with a tight slight off white head that had some good staying power.Aromas of caramel malt and sweet alcohol infused fruit, very smooth with no rough edges here starts out on the sweeter side like buttery caramel and raisin finishing with a touch of floral, spicey hop but its just enough to keep the sweetness in check.A very nice beer went well with the Oktoberfest platter and at 7%alc it was oh so smooth going down.

Eye Candy: Translucent dark copper. Garnet red edges, brwon swirls. Thin head, no lacing or retention. Looks syrupy.
The Nose Knows: Sweet malts, underlying toasted grain, sweet fruit, caramel.
Tongueland: Rich malts, honey sweet, caramel, sweet fruit, roasted nuts.Complexity improved drastically as this beer warmed, but I was too thirsty to properly describe the nuances.
Bender: I dont rem the ABV, but it's high.
