Two Brothers Pale Ale

Great beer that has it's goose ipa reminiscent but comes back strong and shows it's a worthy and viable ipa.

 

I got this as part of 6 beer tasting and it was by far my least favorite. I don't know

 

 

 

 

 

 

Presentation: It was poured into a notched pint glass from the tap at the Ellicottville Brew Pub's Fredonia Location.

Appearance: The body was a perfect amber color with a bright white head. The head slowly faded to just a ring of creamy foam about half way down the glass. At the top it left some nice lacing.

Smell: There was a nice mix of sweet roasty grains and solid citrus/piney hops.

Taste/Palate: It has a good medium body with light bready sweetness, mellow roasted grain and citrusy/piney hops. All this is in good balance with the hops popping out in the finish and leaving some pleasant bitterness to linger briefly on the tongue.

Notes: This is a fine example of a nicely balanced American Pale Ale.

Smell was light citrus hoppiness
Taste was orange citrus hops with not much else
mouthfeel was light to medium
Drinkability this was a very easy to drink staple kind of beer definitely something you could have a few of and be good to go

This is a nice refreshing APA. Clean, sort of acidic hop bitterness. Full cascade flavor without any intense, distracting bitterness. Finishing clean with some ambery crystal malt. Looks nice- very orange, attractive looking APA. I'd say the cascade pine flavors reduce the drinkability a little bit. This is a good beer for every season- in winter the pine makes you think of forests etc. It's light enough for a spring beer, drinkable enough for a summer beer, and the great balance and malt character would be great in fall. Definitely an interesting offering.

This is another beer that surprised me from Ellicottville. I wasn't expected much (it was the last beer on their board that day), but it is a home run.

I like Pale Ale's and this one didn't try and be too crazy which some IPA makers try and do. Very smooth finish. You could drink this one all day.

The beer pours a nice gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a well balanced scent of pale malts and hops. It's nothing flashy, just a solid recipe. The taste is good as well. It has an easy drinking pale malt flavor that is complimented nicely with a mild hop finish. Again, just a true to style APA. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a very good beer. It's a fine session beer for all seasons.

Amber gold with a fluffy one finger head. Good retention,and excellent lacing. Aroma is of citrus, and pine. Body is light,but not watery,with some carbionation. Taste is smooth,nicely hopped,but with a sweet balance that will make you want more than one!

Their best. A bit of tangerine in the taste and citrus in the aroma. Sugary sweetness offsetting the decent amount of hops.Orangey yellow with a fine head. Bitterness apparent. Light mouthfeel, also understated carbonation. I could drink a half pint once. So-so.

Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium bubbly head with average retention. Aroma of medium bitter hops is dominating. Taste is dominated but medium bitter and slightly citrus hops with some subtle malt. Well done overall but also doesn’t really provide anything spectacular.
