Brewed with refreshing, mildly dry wild blackberry flavor and aroma. Light, crisp and delicious. Natural, earthy berry sweetness.

A good Kolsch without the overpowering flavor of blackberry. Very crisp on the palate. A fun twist on a traditional style of beer. Rated on Episode 12 of the Foam and Lace Podcast.

The blackberry is surprisingly a nice refreshing touch to the kolsch style.

Not bad the Kolsch style is a bit boring or gritty on it's own so adding blackberry is pretty much all you will taste. Not very offensive but not really sticking to my mind enough to enjoy it again even though some describe it as a soda.
Pass if you want more flavor (or less?)

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish head tulip
L: Dark golden pour... nearly clear with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Nice lacing.
S: Blackberry puree and wheat/grains.
T.F: Blackberry soda. Fizzy... strong blackberry... a bit of wheat/grain, but not much else going on. Sweet... a bit of tang. Does deliver the promised blackberry, but again... too much of a soda pop vibe.
O: Meh. If you want a blackberry soda beer this is for you.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass. Thin, disappointing head that vanishes quickly. The body of the beer is amber in color. Decent aroma of blueberries on the nose. The first sip reveals plenty of blueberry flavor balanced by the crispness of the Kolsch style, one of my favorite german beers. One very pleasant surprise was the lack of sweetness that plagues so many blueberry, and other fruit flavored beers. A nice beer to drink on a warm summer afternoon.
