Ellicottville has long been a fall destination for leaf peepers and adventure seekers. Adding to the attractions and our best-kept secret is Pumpkinville. What a better way to share this hidden gem than with a beer! Brewed with locally sourced ingredients, including locally-harvested pumpkin, fresh-roasted coffee bean, and finished with seasonal spice & aroma. Big, bold & balanced flavor.

I just loved Pumpkinville Latte, so the nitro version was a must-try. We cracked one yesterday, and this afternoon I did it more scientifically, following the directions on the can to invert it first. It's a dud - literally, the nitro is ineffective and you end up with something less fizzy than the regular non-nitro.
It pours with just a little head, not a big foamer. The aroma is the same as the non-nitro version - strong coffee and pumpkin and the taste is also the same, it just sits flatter in your mouth.
Not recommended. Get the regular instead.

Canned on 8/12/20. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with a subtle haze but still has some clarity to it; small off-white head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing. The aromas have lots of graham cracker crust notes. Some squash and yams to give it a veggie vibe. Some vanilla and caramel. Mild spices in the aroma department. The coffee is pretty subtle. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More graham cracker notes leading the way. More sweet potatoes and veggies. More vanilla and caramel. Some cinnamon and spices in the finish, but they're definitely balanced. The coffee notes are pretty subtle and don't exactly stand out, but everything else more than makes up for it. It's slightly earthy as well. Moderate to low bitterness. Soft sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel isn't quite what you would expect from a nitro beer. There's definitely some carbonation going on. It's low carbonation, but it's not thin or watery. Very smooth and easy to drink.
This is a great pumpkin beer. It's basically the same thing as their regular Pumpkinville Latte, which is a great beer as well. Once again, they didn't seem to nail the nitro characteristics, but it's still great nonetheless.
