Served in a pint glass
This beer pours a purplish red hue. Suspended yeast is visible. It is topped with a scant, beige head that leaves a little lacing.
It has a nice light elderberry aroma. I find it perfect. it is not overwhelming nor do I have to search for the aroma.
The elderberry is upfront. The base helles comes through but is largely masked by the elderberry flavor.
Medium bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel
This is quaffable and quite refreshing on a summer evening. I gotta admit that I am impressed. I could easily pound a 6er.
