Presentation: It was poured into a notched pint glass from the tap at the Ellicottville Brew Pub's Fredonia Location. It is described as being "Light Rust in color and medium in body this pale is made with over 20% Rye Malt and infused with fresh green and red peppercorns." The ABV was also listed on the beer menu as 6.8% with 42 IBU's.

Appearance: It had a dark reddish rust colored body with a just off white colored head. There is some nice visible carbonation which races up to the head. The small one finger thick head had good retention and made nice thin lace patterns on the glass.

Smell: The aroma had a mellow roasted and rye bready maltiness with a dry spicy character. Its spicy/peppery notes really fill the nose.

Taste/Palate: Just like its aroma there is a good solid base of mellow roasted malty goodness with a touch of rye. Mellow hops and dry spicy peppercorn notes move in and finish things off. It had a firm medium body and the carbonation was lively but not fizzy giving it a nice cleansing feel.

Notes: This one was very enjoyable!!!
