A pint can poured into a Nonic. A thick tan head and some decent lacing.
Dark, roasted barley and sweet bourbon aromas and flavors, caramel, cocoa, vanilla and oaky notes. Subtle coconut, Pleasant roasted bitterness on the finish.

January 19 2025, can received as a gift
Look: Dark brown, much like a cola. Not much of a head, but some slight tan foam.
Smell: Sweet bourbon, vanilla, some coconut, cola.
Taste: Follows the nose. Sweetness up front, bourbon, vanilla, some cola, chocolate, malt. You can taste the oak. It's not particularly complex.
Feel: Medium body - I'd prefer a little more. It's a touch sticky, soft carbonation.
Overall: It's a bourbon stout, but I'd prefer a little more "imperial" - more body and complexity of flavor. This is enjoyable, especially if you like these on the sweeter side (which I do), but it's not very memorable. There are better versions out there. But it's certainly drinkable and I'm glad I had it.

16 ounce can, canned 10/21/22, thanks once again to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a couple inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, bourbon, roasted malt and caramel. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some oak and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Decent amount of barrel character and leans sweeter tasting to me. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of soft carbonation. I think it's a good overall imperial stout, worth picking up especially if you like sweeter tasting barrel aged brews!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid imperial pours a dark blackish brown with
a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of bourbon, oak, vanilla,
coconut, dark chocolate, and rich caramel. Flavors expand on the nose with bourbon, oak,
cola, vanilla, dark chocolate, faint coffee, caramel, and some earthy malts. Mouthfeel is medium
full tilting towards full, medium light carbonation that offers some nice lift, and a warming
sweet and subtly bitter malt finish.
Overall, a very well put together imperial.
Cheers
