A cloudy brew with a Spring attitude. Made with our Chimacum-grown, organic floor-malted Talisman barley. Creamy mouthfeel and smooth body thanks to a healthy addition of our homegrown, organic Streaker Oats and a WSU Bread Lab red wheat named Ruth. Medium straw color. Bittered with Azacca and dry hopped with Citra and Nelson Sauvin for deep hop layers. Finish is bright grapefruit and juicy melon. A “harrow” is a field cultivator we pull behind the tractor.

my first beer from these guys, first i ever heard of them actually, seems like an awesome operation, field to glass for real here, super neat, and this is real good hazy ipa, although i didnt find the malt element to really be a defining element of it, not that it should be in this style, a specialty barley that they grew and malted themselves though is at the core of this, which makes it unique right away, but more on paper than on the palate. oats and raw wheat here too, super super starchy looking, crazy hazy yellow color, bright still but dense, cant believe how truly yellow it is, looks creamy and uncommon. the nose is awesome, this is bittered with azacca and dry hopped with citra and nelson according to their website, and i feel like the contribution from all of them is evident, its grassy and kind of spicy, its meyer lemony and soft and up front and new school and fresh, slightly weedy, somewhat vinous, green melon, sauvignon blanc, white florals, its all here, and its here in the flavor too, tastes just like it smells, perhaps a bit more nelson driving it, cut flowers, lemon hard candy, juicy pear, so good! crazy fresh too, and the extra starch in the grain is lovely in terms of texture for these hop flavors, a very modern ipa here with a lot of personality, low on bitterness, bright and captivating, and excellent with high end pizza. this is good enough to have me stoked on this place, i love their story and this first beer is awfully promising. hope to catch some more of their stuff when i am back in the seattle area again next week! definitely seek this one out!
