A big bold imperial stout brewed with Galaxy hops and loads of dark Belgian candy syrup. Tucked away for one year in bourbon barrels from High Bank Distillery, notes of warm bourbon are complimented by vanilla and chocolate.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This more than solid imperial pours a blackish brown with a moderate
head of khaki foam that settles to a thin ring, subtle dusty layer, and
displays some light lacing. Nose of oak, bourbon, dark chocolate, toffee,
and deep roasted goodness dashed with rich vanilla. Flavors follow the
nose with dark roasted malts, subtle dark coffee, bourbon, oak, vanilla,
dark chocolate, subtle coffee, toffee, and dark berry nuances of strawberry
and dark cherry. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, lightly warming, moderately
coating, and finishing with a nicely balanced bitter malt and moderately sweet
bourbon note.

Overall, a stellar brew from a very cool little brewery worthy of a visit!
Remember visiting this place with Bluejacket74 and the Little Lady and
enjoying it immensely!

Cheers

16 ounce can, purchased at the brewery about a month or so ago. No dating I noticed on the label or can. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like bourbon, dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla and some dark fruitiness. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark bread, oak and toffee flavors. Nice amount of barrel character here. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one trying it there on tap, and the canned version is tasty too although I did like the draft version a little more. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance!
