Barrel-aged blended beer consisting of 40% imperial stout aged in Rittenhouse Rye barrels for 22 months and 60% English barleywine aged in Penelope Valencia Bourbon barrels for 30 months.

Dark brownish black opaque shimmering pour with a shortlived brown head that settles into a collar. Taste has rich and refined barrels with barley and rye melting with the lush caramel, plum, raisin, with secondary notes of leather, baker's chocolate, molasses, and date. Aroma is more barrel forward but very deep with those barrels and the dark fruits and grains especially. Smooth and viscous with considerable yet balanced warmth, barley and rye dryness translate well near the finish, luxurious. Beer of the year candidate
