Third beer I had that day at the brewery. I think this was the best one of the day and closest approximating its purported style.
Pours normal, golden color, decent clarity, 1/3" white head with a decent amount of retention. The aroma checked the tropical fruit box, not sure if it was hop derived or fruit additions that got us here, but if I can't tell we're doing ok.
The taste reveals it is underhopped. Ok, I'm thinking we added a tropical fruit here. Guava maybe. Still tasting fine, but it reminds me of those old Virgin Islands beers that were just fruity and not really hoppy. Under the red hot moon take the bus downtown something something. Carbonation fine, mouthfeel is a beer that is relatively easy to drink. Body fits the pale ale designation, tastes and feels just like pale and 2 row barley. Story checks out.
I don't see this beer listed anywhere on their website, who knows why, but at $8 a pint I'm still not clamoring to hae it again, but it was the one if I had to, I would revisit.
