Maybe my expectations were too high, but I found this beer extremely underwhelming. I'm a regular at Twain's and encourage folks to go there, but this IPA lacks character.
It's taste is okay but non-distinctive, and there's nothing interesting about the aroma.
Update: I don't know if Twain's changed the formula or what, but this beer is excellent now.

On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a one-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of a combination of pale and caramel malts with good amounts of earthy and citrus hops.
Tastes similar to how it smells, although the hops are more robust. Pale malt flavors with hints of darker caramel malts kick things off. Joining in shortly thereafter are good amounts of citrus hop flavors and lighter hints of herbal hops. The hops carry through to a solidly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with moderate carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.
Overall I thought this was a solid beer but I think I prefer the other iterations of IPA's at Twain's. Still, it's worth a shot to decide for yourself.

On-tap at the brewpub. Dark golden with much noticeable lacing. Extra hops during conditioning brought the IBU up. Good bitterness, grapefruit, piney, citrusy, and medium mouthfeel. A hophead dose without going over the top. Like the pale, but with the IBU and felt bitterness up there.

Rich amber in color with some cloudiness. Smell is strong and hoppy, and inviting. Flavor is very hoppy, with fruity undertones and a whisper of smokiness; bitterness lingers but is not unpleasant. For people who like hoppy beers, this is a real treat.
