Appearance: Lightly hazed, dark hued, amber body with a finger-high, creamyish, white head.
Smell: Toasty, sweetish malt notes with a touch of light brown sugar. The hops present a good amount of earthiness, some citrus, and a lil' bit of yellow pine.
Taste: Sweet-tasting crystal malts with plenty of toasty accents and a slight hint of brown sugar. The hop flavor is largely earthy, as it overshadows the secondary tastes of citrus and pine. Medium-plus bitterness. The flavor trades off, going back and forth between the sweet malts and bitter hops until the bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Bullfrog IPA presents an inviting mix of malts and hops, for a nicely balanced, enjoyable brew.

Served on-tap in a true pint glass. The menu stated that the ABV was 5.5%
A: The beer appeared to be a nice slightly dark red with a solid, farely thick white to off-white head that was retained nicely.
S: Aroma was mainly hops, not overwhemling, but not weak either. Slight earthly aroma as well, but hops dominate.
T: Solid taste, nice and hoppy with a pine aftertaste. Nothing fancy or exciting, but a solid IPA.
M/D: Overall, as noted above, this is a solid IPA, nothing that will WOW anyone, but good. The beer had a medium body to it with a nice bitter aftertaste. Carbonation was right and the beer was easy to drink. Solid beer, one that I would get again when I go back.

It pours a nice dark opaque brownish gold with a fairly thick, off-white, fine-bubbled head. Aroma is not strong but hoppy with a touch of evergreen. Flavor is richly hoppy with some maltiness and a fair amount of bitterness. It goes down fairly smoothly and leaves a bitter, hoppy aftertaste.

Already reviewed this, but had this from a cask and had to review it again. Served from cask in a tulip glass.
Pours a good dark copper color with amber highlights. One-finger head, very pillowy. Head diminishes slowly as the beer goes down, and the lacing sticks so that you can see your sips.
Smells very earthy, with a faint hop aroma. Everything is very subdued.
Tastes much the same way it smells. There's a big earthy taste with a slightly bitter aftertaste. As the beer warms there's a bit of a nutty taste. Good overall.
Mouthfeel is great. Very smooth, and carbonation is good enough to still bring out the flavors. Can't reiterate how smooth it is.
The drinkability is good. It's so smooth, but there could be just a little more flavor in there.
Overall, I have to admit this is my first cask beer. The changes are more than I would have imagined. It's ten times smoother, and the tastes are a lot more subdued compared with how it tastes on tap. I will definitely make it a habit to go up to Twain's on Wednesdays when they tap their casks.

Served in an imperial pint glass on June 15. Very nice orange-red in the glass with a solid 2 fingers of off-white head. Very frothy but not very many bubbles. Very balanced IPA...caramel malt with a smooth hop flavor. Great citrus flavor, which does not dominate. Smooth, hoppy and so damn drinkable. Definitely the maltier of the IPA offerings by Twain's. This is my favorite of the lot.
