On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a slightly hazy golden-straw color with a half-finger white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving light lacing.

Smells of crisp pilsner malts, faint spices, and moderate amounts of bananas and pears.

Tastes similar to how it smells. Pilsner malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by light fruit flavors - the emphasis is more on bananas than anything else. Midway through the sip hints if indistinct spices make their way into things before fading out into a mildly bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with moderate carbonation.

Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.

Overall I though this was a good beer but it didn't quite fit the bill as a hefeweizen as it lacked the body brought on by yeast. Still, it's not worth turning down if offered one.

23oz glass. Hazy orange with a solid white 1/2". Malty aroma and spicy herbal. Stone white cracker malty up front, subtle coriander and banana. Twinge of citrus in there too- sour tart tangerine & lemon. Finishes clean and crisp. Highly drinkable. Prosit!

Comes out of the tap an opaque pale orangy-gold. Rich aroma is mainly wheaty with some malty component and a strong orange overtone. Flavor is very smooth and refreshing, wheaty and malty, with a strong orange component just like the aroma. Finish is very smooth and satisfying.
