A cask of "Cream Stout" with Jameson-soaked oak chips.
Pours one shade away from black with a half-finger off-white head. The head recedes into a patchy layer around the glass leaving light lacing.
Smells of creamy roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and oak.
Tastes good. Lightly roasted malt flavors kick things off, followed by light chocolate and whiskey flavors before ending with a light bitterness.
Mouthfeel is good. It was a bit on the thin side, but still went down very smoothly.
Drinkability is good. I downed one without much problem, and if I'd stayed longer I certainly would've had another.
Overall St. Patrick's Day was a good time with this beer and some corned beef and cabbage. I'm already looking forward to next year.
