Interesting spin on a standard. They are shooting for a balanced IPA, for me the caramel malts overwhelm a bit.

From the tap pours a big kaki head. Once i had some room to swirl it around in the glass it appeared to be very light (for a Porter) No light is getting through but it's brown/caramel-colored around the edges. Doesn't look like it has a big body.
Smell is dominated by lots of roasted malt aromas. Dark espresso, dark chocolate, toasted bread are coming through. No hop character.
Nice roasted malt flavors din the mouth. A real classic tasting Porter. Not very sweet, but there are some light toffee/caramel notes.
The oatmeal is not doing much for the mouthfeel. It's quite carbonated and the bubbles are detracting from any slickness the oats are causing.
Overall, a very enjoyable - sessionable Porter.
