Brewed in honor of not one, but two Martin Gilligans and all Cincinnatians of Irish descent.

Dark brown with roasty malt aroma and slight bready-sweetness, this porter has a mellow, earthy hop flavor, combined with medium-roast coffee, that is brought together in a dry, bitter finish.

12 ounce can, 01/17/25 stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this can! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half frothy head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like dark chocolate, coffee and some burnt grain. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of a cola-like earthy sweetness. Overall the taste leans a little more bitter. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's creamy but also has way too much carbonation for my liking which hurt my overall score for this. I thought this was decent, but would have liked it more if the carb was dialed back some. With that being said, it's worth a try if you come across a can or 2. Would like to try another batch of this in the future.
