Totally acceptable! The packaging is in the classic lager style, sharp red, with the Michigan theme, this was a must-try at some point. Poured clear amber, "copper", sure. Ample foam, slightly craggy, nice! Not a big nose at all, you get some of a standard wet-apple lager yeast, some conflicting spicy hop energy. Shocked at first by the relatively expansive feel, coating the mouth, withstands a swishing. Bready brown malts, bread crust. On the finish, an unfortunate sort of lemon and spice, kind of takes away from what was otherwise an easy-going drinking experience. Good enough but it has amber lager conflicting with hopped nearly-belgian-spicy ale energy, and the combo isn't so great.

draught
Creamy, off-white head. Medium orange, with some chestnut, for the look. Heavy toasted malt, with a bit of a sweet note. The slightest aroma of allspice and coriander, in the background. A touch of woody sharpness, at first. A bit thin, with just a basic, medium roasted grain flavor.
