This place is a joy. Lively, sleek and modern yet welcoming. The service is so nice, free beer was given! They are excited and passionate about the Hungarian craft scene. 20 taps and a large bottle list, all featuring Hungarian beers. The quality is high, we enjoyed all kinds of styles too. Got to go here when in Budapest

Constellation is a new taproom in Budapest that is a collaboration between Gravity Brewing in Budapest and Brew Your Mind in Szekszárd. Brew Your Mind is my favorite Hungarian brewery, so I made it a point to visit Constellation first on my latest trip to Budapest. I’ve actually visited twice in the last week or so.
They’ve got 20 beers on tap, and they rotate fast enough that the menu changed a bit in just the few days between my visits. Mostly the beers are Gravity and Brew Your Mind offerings, but they also have a few guest beers, notably a few guest lambics. Styles range the gamut from lagers to stouts and everything in between, but IPAs are pretty heavily featured (which I love, because BYM makes some of the best hazy IPAs out there).
The space is kind of a bistro type thing, low-key but nicely appointed, with a main floor and upstairs area. Service was great on both my visits. Initially I was greeted in English but when I explained that I was learning Hungarian, my server switched to Hungarian. I say “server”, but there’s more of a team of people, and the service was excellent. I had the chicken lépény on my first visit and some kinda beef dish on my second visit, and both were great, particularly the lépény.
I’m definitely going to go back again before I leave Budapest, and I’m going to visit every time I come to the city going forward. Absolutely my new favorite spot.
