I have to give this brewery credit for producing a good variety of ale-style beers in a lager dominated Russian market. But, they'd get more credit if these ales were a) good or b) different amongst themselves. As is, I'm afraid this stuff just gives ale a bad name. The "mild" is classic example. Comes in a brown 1 liter plastic bottle. Sugar is an ingredient. Best before 4/12/04, I opened it on 11/23/03.

Pours a dark brown, cola color with a medium bodied, thin head that fades quickly to collar. The nose is very sweet - fruits and, yes, cola. The mouth is prickly and light. The flavors are most reminiscent of bad fruit sodas - raspberry and cherry, mainly. There is very little malt, and only a slight trace of mild hops. This stuff is mainly sweet, and hardly drinkable. I managed a pint; the rest of the liter is headed down the drain.
