For years Korund has only sold its products in one liter plastic bottles. Now, they've entered the glass half liter market with a series of products. This "pale light" ale is their flagship brew. The label is silver and gold, with a big red "L' in the middle. Ingredients include sugar, but not hops. Best before 6/18/05, I opened it on 3/14/05.

Pours cloudy orange under a very thin half-finger off white head that fizzles immediately. Very yeasty nose with hints of sweet fruits. The mouth is highly carbonated but sweetly heavy. The taste is fruitier than most British ales, verging almost on Belgian in character. There's definitely apricot here, with a touch of sour cherry. Bitterness comes out in the finish, but it is more grapefruit than hoppy. The lasting impression is closer to plum. It's OK, but is missing something (hops, perhaps?).
