Beautiful lasting silky head, dense and fine.The body is of an intense black color. The smell is round, malty and sweet with notes of spices. The taste is very sweet, malty and almost biscuity. Refreshing, almost like soda or seltzer water. A strong syrupy caramel character gives a slightly gluey mouthfeel. A bit too much on the sweet side for my taste. Spicy, as expected of a Christmas beer, with notes of liquorice, anise and hints of pepper.
