on tap at 1897 Market at CLT airport served in a shaker pint glass
The beer pours a clear light straw color with a smallish white head that quickly recedes leaving behind sparce lacing.
The aroma is fairly mild, a light malty sweetness and just a hint of citrusy hops
The flavor is similar to the aroma. A light sweet malt character with just a hint of citrusy hops. Light bodied and moderately carbonated.
Overall, it's not a bad beer, but not terribly memorable.

Typical Blonde ale...highly drinkable, but forgettable at the same time.

Pours cloudy, pale gold. Foamy, medium, white head that fades shortly.
Smells grassy, pilsner, citrus and light fruit.
Tastes citrus, lemon, bready malt and grassy. Followed by light bitterness almost floral. Finish is dry with light bitterness and malt. Lighter body and fizzy medium carbonation.

Look - 4.25 - crystal clear pale yellow color with a white head. Head doesn't last too long but leaves plenty of lacing.
Smell - 4 - You can smell the california common ale yeast. (I emailed the brewery to confirm) very lager like in smell, some light malt coming through. A slight hoppy spice.
Taste - light toasty malt character, little to no bitterness from hops. Reminisce of a lighter oktoberfest beer. Plenty of malt flavor for 4.6%. Nice hints of citrus, orange peel, pineapple, grapefruit. (Mosiac hops at whirlpool and 60 min magnum addition are the only hops)
Feel - 4 - medium light body with medium carbonation. Little bubbles make for a foamy slightly creamy feel.
Overall - 4 - Great example of the style IMO. Comes in pint cans 4 pack. I would buy another any time.
