This is a rebrew for 2020 with a 9.2 ABV. I also don't think this was barrel aged.
Look: It pours golden and clear with a white head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: Strong citrus and grapefruit aroma with a bit of grass in the nose. There is a very low level of lemongrass as well.
Taste: It has strong citrus and grapefruit flavor. There is a bit of a resinous quality to it with some grass and a hint of lemon grass. Alcohol is noticeable.
Feel: It has a medium full body with a bit of slickness to it. It has a definitively strong bitterness in the finish.
Overall, this is a good imperial IPA with good flavors and a strong finish.

Got the twitter feed on this one, so grabbed my buddy and hopped on over to the brewery.
Served in a snifter. Gorgeous deep orange/amber hue. Murky. Smell is of oak/bourbon/hops. You get a really nice bourbon flavor that wasn't over the top. Several of the bourbon aged IPAs I've had, you lose the hops due to the over-powering bourbon flavor, but not in this case. Nice bitterness on the back end that lingered.
I hope they do this again. If so, I'm there! Really enjoyed it. Had to have two!
